Telecommunication Section

The purpose of the Telecommunication Section is to procure telecommunication services both landline & wireless and data services for the Navajo Nation governmental offices including the Navajo Nation chapters.

The staff communicates directly with telecommunication service providers to procure the services.  The telephone service providers include Frontier Communication, AT&T, Qwest, Sacred Winds, Table Top, Verizon, CellularOne, and Alltel.  Along with this function the staff is responsible for processing the payment for the majority of these services.

The staff is involved in a number of telecommunication initiatives including Voice Over Internet Protocol, GSA Networx Transition, and Chapter Internet Connections. They are available to assist users with telephone equipment usage training on a request basis.
